CSS and Simplicity

Seasoned and experienced CSS web developers know for a fact that the process of web design requires adequate practical and technical knowledge. Designing after all, must first and foremost provide satisfaction on the part of both the designer and the users.

This article will elaborate on three major principles in web designing: simplicity, directness, and purposefulness.

Simplicity tends to be taken for granted by new, and even a few professional, web developers. These practitioners overlook the benefits of simple web pages, when in fact, simplicity says a lot in terms of gaining traffic, popularity, and thus, sales.

There is beauty in simplicity. This popular saying is very applicable in CSS web designing. How exactly do you design simple web pages?

Some may think that achieving simplicity in web design is an easy task. However, the assertion is not necessarily true. Most of the time, it becomes difficult to stick to the basics, especially if the designer has no clear idea about the primary purpose of the website he is working on.

Obviously, the key to developing a simple but comprehensive website lies in establishing a clear set of objectives and purpose. Every web designer should adhere to a certain set of guidelines to make sure that he carries out these goals until he finishes the final product.

The first step to obtaining simplicity is getting rid of all unnecessary mess and retaining only the most important elements that will help you reach your goals.

Coming up with goal-focused web pages has many advantages. First of all, simple pages are easier to comprehend and understand. Also, they convey the page’s desired message without having to take too much time to load them.

It could also be said that it saves more time to design simple pages once you get the hang of it, giving designers the chance to use valuable time on other jobs at hand. Simple pages are easier to maintain and redesign when the need arises. To sum it all up, a simple design is good for business. It allows you to further develop your economic potentials.

It is a must for every designer to acquire the “virtue” of simplicity. Always bear in mind to STAY SIMPLE and purpose-driven.
