I want my visitors to view my index page first before they view any other page. Suppose a visitor finds an inner page in Search Engine. I want it to be directly redirected to my index page. Is this possible?

Will this affect my site rankings?

I would suggest not to do that. Incase a particular visitor finds your inner page link and if he is redirected to homepage link all the time then your inner page rank will be 0. In other words there will be no traffic for that particular page thereby affecting your entire website.
