I would like to ask you guys whether it is necessary to use CSS while designing. Can’t I just design my website using html. I just have no knowledge whatsoever about CSS. Since I am hearing this term so often I just wanted to know whether it was necessary to use CSS for website.

My answer is absolute Yes
The reason I say this because html codes are heavy and long. By converting them to CSS you’re actually reducing the size and make it lighter and less messy. And my friend Search Engine loves Lightweight codes, so you better start learning CSS soon.

Absolutely necessary. The reason I like using CSS is because they are easy to maintain and change quickly. Unlike html there are lesser tags thereby avoiding any problems.

I would any day use CSS, as they are compatible with most browsers. Also xhtml and css files require less time to download as compared to html files thereby reducing the time viewers have to wait to view a particular page.
