Many might consider this to be a very stupid question. But it is of utmost importance to this newbie. Can some one help me how to find hex numbers for an particular color.

No issues J - We all stat someday.
You can find hex number of any color using Finder tool or Eyedropper Tool in Photoshop.

Good Info, I would also like to add that your can also use GIMP for finding hex numbers for all Non Primary Colors.
