CS2 is the older version of CSS. While CS3 is the updated version of CS2. CS3 has more updated and new features which are not available in CS2
CS 2 = Adobe Creative Suite Version 2 CS 3 = Adobe Creative Suite Version 3

CS3 is the latest version. I personally feel its way ahead of CS2 with regards to features and functions. However if you have bad old computer then CS2 is for you.

I find CS3 very interesting and useful. It has excellent execution features in terms of actions and filters. CS2 definitely lacks the punch in this regard.
Also in CSS, one can directly export/import – flash, dream weaver or firework file. Also the copy paste feature can be used to copy from one application to other.
