Gain Exposure for Your New Blog

The beginning phase of a new blog may provide you enough nightmares. You will be under deep mental stress if your blog doesn’t receive due attention initially. You may be writing good posts regularly, but these posts get lukewarm response from readers. With the passage of time, your traffic may increase. However, every blogger wants that initial good response for their blogs.

Gaining huge traffic during the beginning days of your new blog rarely happens and not without any luck. You need to have patience until your blog’s reader base gradually increases. You mustn’t be short of making attempts to get your blog noticed by others. The proper exposure is what your blog requires initially.

The importance of content can’t be overlooked in blogging. If you make compromise with the content, you have to give up your blogging career also. In order to gain exposure for your blog, you need good quality content that draws the attention of masses. One or two good posts won’t help your cause. If a reader comes to your blog, reads one post and finds the rest of the blog space empty, he/she will never come back again. You need to make sure that you have good posts ready for publishing for at least a couple of weeks. If your readers will come to read one post and find lots of other great posts, they will be delighted to make another visit to your blog.

Leaving comments on other popular blogs is an activity which every new blogger must practice to get traffic for his/her blog. But it doesn’t mean that you will leave a sea of links with your comments on a bunch of blogs. By doing so, you will be labeled as a spammer and a spammer is not appreciated by other bloggers as well as readers. You can avail the benefit of this technique by becoming a regular commenter on a bunch of blogs and providing valuable, useful comments with an intelligent link back to your site.

You can adopt a similar strategy in case of forums also. Never try to be tagged as a spammer; otherwise you’ll be banned from entering a particular forum. Participate in healthy discussion and provide your valuable opinion on a particular topic. It won’t be a wise move to post links straightway in one or two visits. You have to wait till you become a regular and important contributor of various high traffic forums. It will certainly take some time in comparison to spamming, but help you in the long run.

The power of social community websites can provide tremendous exposure for your blog. The active members of these sites can make your task easier by submitting articles on your behalf. In the beginning, you will be unknown to them. So you will have to submit some best articles by yourself. Another way to leverage the power of social media is to befriend some popular members of social media. If you have an outstanding post, you can send them a link and they’ll think of submitting it. If your post does well in social media circle, then nobody can stop your blog from receiving huge traffic overnight.
